Halloween: when it's okay to be a slut for a day
Why do girls feel that it's okay to dress with fishnets and impossibly high heels ONLY on halloween? What makes this one day so special? Is it to satisfy the possibility that we can escape reality for the moment and live in a different world? I'm sure there's a reason why Halloween makes so much money off of costumes that look like they're two pieces of tiny fabric sewn together costing a small fortune.
Btw, I've already decided what I want to be. Have you?

and yes, halloween does provide for the one day that we can live our fantasies, even if some of them are "slutty." It's the one day we can do and be who we want without further judgment, without the stares, without the whispers. It's so tempting, so why resist?
I think I was joking with my apartment mates about being a mushroom....specifically a crimini or shitake since I'm already dark on top with my black hair and beige with my skin...Yeah...doubt that's going to fly.
I think I'm going to spend halloween quietly being antisocial, doing a problem set. I don't need fantasy. Maybe somebody dorky enough will be a molecule. Ok I'm done being ridiculously nerdy and tired. Perhaps I will still continue being tired.
I also joked to about turning one of them into a Victoria's Secret Angel. Minimum cost too! They weren't so happy with that idea either...-sigh-
